From our Castle Street branch we support people in their own homes across Dover, Deal, Folkestone, St Margaret's at Cliffe, Walmer and the villages in between - with care that is personal, reliable and rated "Good" by the Care Quality Commission.
Dover has always been a town that looks after its own. Working lives shaped by the port, families spread between the cliffs and the channel - and a community where people quietly check in on neighbours, year after year.
When that quiet check-in is no longer enough - when illness, recovery or age makes the everyday harder - what families need is professional support that fits in with the way life is already lived. That is what our Dover team provides. Carefully chosen, properly trained carers, visiting your home or your loved one's home on a schedule that works around real life.

Meridian Care is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and our most recent inspection rated us "Good" across every measured area. The rating is built on evidence: safeguarding, training, staffing levels, clinical oversight, the quality of care plans, and feedback from clients and families.
You can read our full inspection report on the CQC website anytime. We are proud of the rating and we work to keep earning it on every visit.
Our Dover team is based on the first floor of 25 Castle Street, in the centre of town just below the castle. The branch is led by a Registered Manager, supported by care coordinators and a team of carers who live across the Dover, Deal and Folkestone area - close to the people they support.
That closeness is what makes the difference. Visits start on time. Families can drop in without making a journey. And the same familiar carer becomes part of someone's week.
Every care plan is shaped around the person, but the foundation is the same range of regulated services right across the Dover catchment.
Washing, dressing, medication prompting and the dignified daily support that keeps independence in place at home.
Planned breaks for family carers, with the reassurance that nothing slips while you take time for yourself.
Specialist support for people living with dementia, Parkinson's, MS and stroke recovery.
Gentle, expert support at home, in partnership with district nurses and local hospices.
Help around the house: laundry, light cleaning, shopping, errands.
Meal preparation, hydration and the wellbeing essentials that make the difference on a good day.
Community-based support for adults living with mental health conditions.
Supported living and outreach for adults across East Kent.

Three reasons we hear over and over again.
When we say a carer will be with your mum at 8am, that is when they will be there. We staff for cover, brief our team thoroughly and keep families informed when anything changes.
Care is not a call-centre service. Our Dover Registered Manager knows every client by name and answers the line when families call.
We match our carers to clients carefully - by personality, language, life experience, and the kind of care needed. Familiarity is what makes care work.
Our Dover branch is led by an experienced Registered Manager and supported by care coordinators who each manage a small caseload personally. Every carer joining the Dover team completes a structured induction and ongoing training across dementia, safeguarding, medication and dignity in care.
"The team have been wonderful with Dad since he came home from Buckland. They are punctual, kind, and they really listen. It has made the whole family breathe again."

"Mum is at her happiest at home in Deal. Meridian Care give us the peace of mind to know she is safe, well-fed and laughing with the same lovely carer every morning."

The first step is a no-obligation home visit. Our Registered Manager or a senior coordinator will sit with you, listen properly to what is needed, and write a clear plan together. There is no charge, no pressure, and no commitment.
